A 17-year-old boy slaughtered his parents and younger brother in a savage knife attack just hours after the family celebrated his father’s 51st birthday.

The teenager, from Paderno Dugnano near Milan, Italy, confessed on Sunday to the horrific murders, chillingly telling investigators: “There is no real reason why I killed them. I felt like a foreign body in my family. Oppressed. I thought that by killing them all I would be free of this discomfort.”

According to local reports, the young man had initially told authorities a fabricated story that he had witnessed his father, Fabio Chiarioni, 51, killing his mother, Daniela Albano, 49, and his brother, 12, before taking a knife and stabbing his father.

The 17-year-old told investigators he walked into his brother’s bedroom on the second floor of the family home and found Chiarioni sitting in a chair with the knife beside him.

He told officers that his mother’s body was on the floor at his father’s feet, and that his brother was lying dead in his bed before he launched his attack on his father.

But the police were not convinced by the story as the boy had no signs of a struggle on his body and the truth came to light during a second interrogation.

The teenager told investigators he had felt ‘uncomfort’ within his family and that these emotions had erupted just hours after the family celebrated Chiarioni’s 51st birthday.

He also said he had been thinking about carrying out the killings “for a while,” according to reports. The Messenger.

The boy explained how at around 2am on Sunday, he grabbed a large kitchen knife and lunged at his little brother first, stabbing him with the knife at least ten times.

He then carried out his brutal attack on his parents, who were also in his brother’s room, but the younger brother was found to have the most stab wounds.

The teenager called authorities immediately after the savage killings and told Italian emergency services that he had stabbed his father to death.

Speaking to investigators during his confession, he said: “I realized a minute later. I understood that killing them would not free me.”

According to a report by AnsaThe boy has been arrested for his killing spree after being questioned throughout Sunday by investigators led by Milan’s juvenile prosecutor Sabrina Ditaranto.

Judicial sources said they still do not understand the motive for the triple homicide.

“We will have to wait a long time before explaining such an atrocious gesture,” they said.

Ditaranto said during a press conference on Sunday: ‘The boy understood that he had done something irreversible, he expressed his own discomfort, not related to the family.

“From a legal point of view, we do not have a technically valid reason. From a sociological and psychological point of view, investigations are obviously ongoing.”

Friends of the family and Paderno Dugnano Mayor Anna Varisco expressed shock at the news of the devastating murders.

“They were a normal, serene family, not followed by social services and described by everyone as a family without problems,” Varisco told the outlet.

Neighbors described the family as quiet, well-off and hard-working people, according to reports. The Messenger.
