Pep Guardiola claims that Manchester City believe they can defend the Champions League this season.
Although the City manager said last week that they have only a 0.01 per cent chance of repeating the treble, he spoke about their prospects in Europe before facing Copenhagen in the last 16 on Tuesday.
City have reached at least the semi-finals in each of the last three years, last lifting the trophy last June, and Guardiola is convinced they can do it again.
“When I arrived eight years ago I had the feeling that maybe this competition was too much for us,” Guardiola said.
“I thought, ‘Are you sure Pep, are we ready to do it?’ Now the entire organization believes that we can do it.
Pep Guardiola insisted that Manchester City has the confidence to be crowned European champions again.

“This is the best legacy we have given to the club and the team: that Manchester City can compete.”
Guardiola added: “All our defeats and bad moments helped us grow and be in the position we are in and the whole club is aware that we can try to be ourselves.”
“We feel it more than ever in the Premier League and in the Champions League: we want to do it again.” “We have good characters and personalities on the team with how they react in bad moments.”
