Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan came under fire from fans after making a ‘sexist’ comment about his wife Ola on Twitter on Saturday.
The professional dancer, 46, who appeared in the BBC series alongside his wife, 41, took to social media to lament his skills around the house.
Writing: “Hi guys. Does anyone know a decent ironer in the West Malling area as my wife is shit at it.”
Rushing to the comments section, fans quickly criticized the dancer, with one exclaiming, “Why don’t you iron then?”
While others wrote: ‘Learn to iron!’: ‘You should try your luck!’: ‘Try it yourself’: ‘Try to be an ironer’: ‘Can’t you do it??’: Why? You have to be a ‘lady’ ironer hehe and you can’t iron yourself why?’: ‘Do it yourself?’.

After the reaction, James wrote: “Well that last tweet was a lot better than I thought.”
‘Just to clarify, I iron myself, but I hate it, and Ola hates ironing too. We had an amazing lady who is now retired so we need someone else. We are in the West Malling area. Fans’.
Before finally posting: ‘Lastly, we are looking for a “lady” who irons, not a “man”, because although men are better, we want to give a lady a chance because what we are looking for is equality. Thank you very much again for all your answers.’
The pair made their debut on the BBC series in 2006 before James quit in 2013, followed by Ola two years later.
Last year, James came under fire again for “putting pressure on new moms” by sharing a postpartum photo of Ola, with whom he shares three-year-old daughter Ella, to promote her weight loss plan in a now-deleted post .
The couple have been taking to Instagram to document their recent weight loss journey and Ola lost 3.5 stone while James lost 3 stone and the couple have since launched the 12-week fitness program Dance Shred.
But James’ post, which has since been deleted, sparked outrage after he posted before and after snaps of Ola holding her daughter.
One snapshot showed his wife holding newborn Ella shortly after giving birth, and a second, taken about two years later, showed Ola hugging her daughter after her recent weight loss.
Fans who rushed to the comments section quickly criticized the dancer, with one exclaiming: ‘Then why don’t you iron?’

James later responded to the comments in two more posts.
In one caption, James said Ola is now “half the woman she was,” while his wife shared the same post, saying she couldn’t believe how much she had “shrinked.”
However, James came under fire for using a postpartum photo of Ola for the “before” photo, as they claimed it was “not a fair comparison” and sent a “dangerous message,” according to The express.
In comments shared by the publication, one fan raged: “Please don’t use a postpartum photo for comparison; there’s enough pressure on new moms. I’m sure you have a photo from last year to use.”
Another reportedly added: “Not really a fair comparison considering she hadn’t given birth that long ago.”

And another was quoted as saying: ‘Hey, you look beautiful in both photos. In the first one you are radiant after having turned out to be an adorable little girl and in the second you are beautiful because you look the way you want and your daughter makes you happy.’
According to The Express, James had originally captioned the now-deleted post: ‘Wow! What a change! Ola is half the woman she was and Ella is almost as big as she is now. [laughing face emoji].
