Scottie Pippen’s son with ex-wife Larsa, Justin Pippen, took the next step toward an NBA career by committing to play college basketball for the University of Michigan.
Justin plays guard at Sierra Canyon School in California and is a teammate of LeBron James’ youngest son, Bryce.
On Friday, Justin announced his commitment to the Wolverines on social media. He also spoke to On3’s Joe Tipton about his decision. According to Tipton, Michigan emerged from offers from California, Stanford, Florida and Texas A&M.
“I chose Michigan because my long-term goal is to make it to the NBA,” Pippen said. “Michigan is great for my development and playing on such a big stage in that conference is great for me.”
Pippen joins the first recruiting class with new Wolverines head coach Dusty May at the helm.
