Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila team is being accused of causing damage to a beloved AC/DC mural at a local bar in Indio, California.

The model, 28, and her team have been promoting the alcohol brand during the first week of the Coachella music festival.

They put up a big 818 sticker sign at Club 5 Bar, where they had a pop-up event to cover the tequila line last week.

However, one of the owners, Randy Franco, now claims that Jenner’s team ruined the AC/DC mural beneath the sign, leaving it scratched and peeling, according to TMZ.

Meanwhile, sources close to Kendall told DailyMail.com that Randy and his mother, Carmen Franco, knew the mural could be damaged or even destroyed and signed a contract agreeing to this.

They also claim that Franco and his family knew the state of the place after the event and did not raise any problems at that time.

Although decal 818 appears to have been painted onto the wall, it is actually a separate piece that was attached to it.

Randy issued a press release Monday accusing Kendall’s company of leaving its recently installed AC/DC mural worn and peeling, and making no attempt to restore it.

He claimed that he and his partners gave 818 permission to use the wall and put up the 818 sign, but had asked them to use a protective layer underneath so as not to damage the mural underneath.

He claims the crew didn’t do that and instead attached the sign to the mural with adhesive, causing cracks and chips in the paint upon removal.

It’s unclear what, if anything, Randy plans to do regarding the situation, as he has only contacted the event coordinator so far to express his frustration over the mural.

Meanwhile, according to an email seen by TMZ, Randy’s mother, Carmen, toured the facility and even pointed out the mural and said the condition was fine when Kendall’s team left.

Jenner, who recently promoted the brand while cooking pasta with her sister Kylie for Valentine’s Day, launched her tequila brand, 818, in February 2021.
