Hoda explained that she uses the extra 60 minutes each morning to plan some peace into her routine.

‘I do 20 minutes of meditation and write something in my journal. And I make a check (a spirit). Like, “What does my spirit need today? What does my body need today?”

But he explained that every day is different and that he has to take the time to understand their needs each morning.

‘Sometimes I need a manicure. Sometimes I need to walk in nature. Sometimes I need a break. Sometimes I need a hot bath. “I’ll write whatever I need at that moment,” Hoda said.

The host, who often appears on screens alongside co-host Jenna Bush Hager, said she will write reminders of “specific” and “very easy things” she needs in the moment.

Going even deeper, he explained: ‘I don’t check my phone or the news of the day or who won what, not even sports, nothing until I’m done.

‘Cause I feel like you can open a door and the world comes running.

“It’s like, ‘I’m not ready yet. “I need a minute.”

“I don’t care if I’m late or if I have all the time in the world, I try to do this no matter what.”

she shared with daily oprah: ‘I try not to scroll through Twitter at the end of the day to see what’s trending, in case there’s any news for tomorrow.

‘I try to stay away from everything negative. There are only so many things a human being can ingest before feeling that desperation, which is why I always keep a quote book next to my bed.

‘I will read a quote and you will keep it. I think the most important parts of the day are how you start it and how you finish it, so I try to end it carefully.’
