‘What sets Sanam and me apart is that you have to decide what you want more: the fame that comes with the show or the person you are in a relationship with.
‘They invite you to parties, but we loved each other more than that lifestyle. We enjoy every moment together and do things that interest the other person too.’
The couple are famous for their humility, and Sanam went straight back into social work after the show, rather than launching a career as an influencer.
Kai and Sanam moved in together just months after leaving the villa and although they admitted to petty arguments, such as who should take out the bins, the couple quickly quelled them.
They celebrated their first anniversary in February, although their series ended in March, when Sanam joined Love Island on Casa Amor.
The couple are now ready to move out of their apartment and hope to move up the property ladder by buying a house together.
Kai also shared that he is working on proposing to Sanam as he hopes the couple will have a family in the near future.
In May, Kai and Sanam will take part in a skydive to raise money for a children’s charity.

In May, social worker Sanam and qualified teacher Kai will take part in a skydive to raise money for a children’s charity.
Sanam told her more than 400,000 followers: ‘@kaifagan_ and I are raising money for @actionforchildrenuk by doing a SKYDIVE on May 10!
‘We are both very excited (maybe me more than Kai) but also very nervous about this! We visited one of @actionforchildrenuk’s short break services, where we saw just one of the ways they support children.
‘The money raised will benefit both the charity as it means they will be able to continue running services like these and will also allow them to continue to protect and support young people with practical and emotional support.
‘Kai and I are trying to raise a total of £1,500 for the charity! We would like to thank everyone who has helped us get closer to this goal so far and would like to encourage many of you to donate towards achieving this.’
‘No matter how big or small, every donation matters and makes a big difference. To donate the link is in our bio. Your donation is helping a vulnerable young person.’
Kai worked as a teacher before Love Island, so the children’s wellbeing is a very important issue for both of them.
