TikTok users are expressing concern about a popular Amish TikToker after she posted one latest cryptic video on the platform.
Sarah Joy, better known as @thatplaingirl on TikTok, has amassed over half a million followers and documents her life as an Amish Mennonite in West Virginia.

Users in the comments have expressed great concern for Joy’s well-being.
Sarah Joy opened up about her mental health issues and shared that she attempted suicide in 2022.

“She looks terrified. I hope she’s okay and doesn’t get caught,” another user chimed in.
The title of the video read: “I deeply apologize if I have offended anyone by straying from the community guidelines.”
TikTok users expressed great concern for Joy, as her usually cheerful and hopeful demeanor was masked by a fearful and hostage disposition.

“Okay, I’m really worried now,” another commented.
“She looks terrified. I hope she’s okay and doesn’t get caught,” chimed in a third.

The Mineral County Office of Emergency Management told DailyMail.com that they have been inundated with calls about Sarah Joy, concerned for her well-being, and that the Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the situation.
They also said the only way to contact Joy was through her post office box in Fort Ashby. The office said they tried calling the post office, but they were closed.
Another escaped TikTok creator Amisk, who goes by The Misfit Amish, claimed that someone has made direct contact with Sarah Joy and that she is physically safe. However, the creator said that Joy “has asked everyone to please not call a welfare check, she would put her in danger right now.”
Joy has given her audience an inside look at her daily life: sewing her own clothes, preparing home-cooked meals, playing the guitar, and joking about her abnormal upbringing.
In addition to her light-hearted content, she has also exposed the dark side of Amish culture, citing the domestic and sexual abuse crisis in her community, the violent encounters she herself has experienced, and the mental health epidemic of Amish women who do not have An escape.
