The adorable two-year-old who took a heart-warming photo of Queen Camilla as she visited her dad’s bakery in Belfast is the son of a former Blue Peter presenter.
Fitzwilliam Corrie-Salmon, known as Fitz, from Belfast, took the nation by storm yesterday as he donned a small tuxedo while his father, William, co-owner of Knotts Bakery, chatted to the King’s wife during her tour of Northern Ireland.
Now his mother, Zoe Corrie-Salmon, a former Blue Peter presenter, appeared on This Morning on Friday via video link with Fitz and her husband William.
Zoe, 44, was a presenter of Blue Peter from 2004 to 2008 and hosted the flagship children’s show with Konnie Huq, Simon Thomas, Matt Baker, Liz Barker, Gethin Jones and Andy Akinwolere.
After hanging up her children’s television mic, Zoe moved to a country house in County Down, Northern Ireland, with her husband William Corrie.
Adorable two-year-old Fitzwilliam Corrie-Salmon, who photographed Queen Camilla as she visited a local bakery in Belfast, has warmed hearts once again on This Morning.
Speaking today, the former Miss Northern Ireland said she couldn’t sleep after seeing all the media coverage surrounding her baby boy last night, but luckily ‘Fitz’ managed to get a good 12 hour rest.
She said: “We honestly can’t believe it, she was so good to him, she’s such a lovely woman and it was such a special day.”
When asked what Fitz thought of his newfound fame, she replied: “Fitz is naturally very talkative and very outgoing but he’s never been in this environment before with so many photographers, we didn’t know what he was going to look like but he he he really took it and he had a good day.
“I don’t think any of this has phased him, it’ll be funny when he’s older, showing him all the press and telling him all this, he won’t believe it.”
Zoe, who was named the 20th sexiest woman alive by FHM, has largely stayed out of the spotlight since marrying her farmer husband in 2016.
Talk to Hello! in 2022, she said, “Fitz can look forward to an idyllic outdoor childhood on the family’s two farms, which span approximately one thousand acres.
“Will grew up on the farm and he always talks about it with such love and tenderness. I can’t wait for Fitz to get involved in all of this as well. It’s a beautiful part of the world.
She added that she had no plans to return to television after taking a break from presenting her work during lockdown and pregnancy.
“It’s a new me; I went from Zoé the TV presenter to Zoé the mother and TV presenter. I want Fitz to grow up seeing his mom and dad work hard.”
