Roger Federer, Dwyane Wade and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson were among the sports stars on the Oscars red carpet, along with John Cena, who appeared on stage to present a naked award.
Federer, holder of the record for most singles titles at Wimbledon (eight), looked dapper as always in a white tuxedo jacket and black trousers, as he stole the show at Rolex’s Daytona edition of Le Mans centenary.
He arrived at the 96th Academy Awards with his wife Miraslova ‘Mirka’, who looked elegant in a long black dress with a white Peter Pan collar, matching buttons and white details on the sleeves.
Wade, a three-time NBA champion with the Miami Heat, sported an outfit similar to Federer’s: he wore a white and black Versace double-breasted jacket and slim black pants. A subtle brooch crowned the lapels of his jacket.
His wife and actress Gabrielle Union was by his side in a sparkly, strapless custom-made Carolina Herrera dress.

But ‘The Rock’ didn’t shine as brightly as the former professional basketball player, who shares an alternate spelling of his name, and many question the wrestler’s taste in fashion.
She showed up to Sunday’s ceremony at the Dolby Theater in a metallic silver Dolce & Gabbana suit, with a burgundy-lined silk shirt that almost showed off her navel.
But former professional wrestler John Cena stole the spotlight at the awards ceremony, as he appeared on stage without clothes and covering his private parts with just an envelope to present the winner for best costume design.
“Costumes… are very important,” he said in front of a crowd of thousands of actors, producers and other members of film production teams, while standing with nothing covering his body.
Visibly embarrassed in what is one of the most memorable appearances by an award winner in years, he added: “Maybe the most important thing… I can’t open the envelope…”
Poor Things’ Holly Waddington was ultimately named the winner in that category.
