Queensland Police are asking for public assistance in locating a 12-year-old girl reported missing on the Sunshine Coast last night.

A 12-year-old girl missing for two days on the Sunshine Coast has been found by her relieved family after a massive search effort.

Mya Baker was last seen leaving a property on Cape Street, in Birtinya, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, about 6.45pm on Wednesday and had not been in contact with her family since.

However, on Friday night, her delighted relatives confirmed to police that they had finally located her.

Queensland Police said around 3.30pm on Friday afternoon that Maya had been found safe and well.

Queensland Police are asking for public assistance in locating a 12-year-old girl reported missing on the Sunshine Coast last night.

Maya left her house on Wednesday afternoon without a purse or shoes and the young woman does not have a mobile phone, which made her unreachable.

Her brother went to see his sister in Birtinya Park about 20 minutes after she disappeared and discovered she was gone.
