Annerley shooting: Brisbane police officer shot after responding to an incident at a home

Police have declared a crime scene in Annerley following an incident this morning in which a police officer and a man were shot.

Officers were initially called to a Tamar Street address around 9.13am following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, a physical altercation occurred between an officer and a man.

As a result of the altercation, both the officer and the man suffered gunshot wounds.

Both have been taken to hospital for treatment.

The matter will be investigated by the Ethical Standards Command, with oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
