Many were left furious by the disastrous mistake and quickly responded to Hahn in the comments as the wildfires continue to burn.
The emergency alert was sent to Los Angeles County residents telling them: ‘NEW: This is an emergency message from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
‘An EVACUATION NOTICE has been issued in your area. Stay alert for any threats and be prepared to evacuate. Gather your loved ones, pets, and supplies.
“Continue to monitor local weather, news and the alertla.org website for more information,” it said.
Approximately 22 minutes later, a second notification arrived telling residents: ‘Please ignore the latest EVACAUTION WARNING. It was just for Kenneth Fire. AlertLA.org for more information.’
Shortly after the first notice was sent, another was sent to “ignore” the first as it was intended for those affected by the Kenneth Fire in Woodland Hills.
This is breaking news.
