A tiny house with a design dubbed “the worst in New York City” has sparked outrage online after the rental price was revealed.

The strange studio in the Big Apple’s Nolita neighborhood boasts several unique but completely undesirable features, including a half-finished shower located immediately behind the front door.

The unusual setup continues in the kitchen, which is less than a meter away and where a stove has been placed haphazardly in front of a countertop.

Meanwhile, the bathroom in the unit at 232 Elizabeth Street consists of only a small toilet, with no light, sink or mirror.

To make matters worse, the run-down apartment is listed for a whopping $3,495 a month.

Video footage from inside the horror show reveals potential tenants opening the entrance door to the shower, located behind a glass brick wall.

Inside, the shower is missing several tiles and you can see paint peeling from the walls.

A refrigerator sits just a few steps away along with the oddly placed stove, forming what the listing calls the “modern kitchen.”

Photos in the listing show how the kitchen appliance was previously housed inside countertops that appear to have since been disassembled.

Real estate agents described the apartment on StreetEasy as “charming” and list “high ceilings, exposed brick and hardwood floors” among its features.

‘You can’t beat this block! “Conveniently located near the best shopping and restaurants New York City has to offer,” the listing states.

However, social media users were quick to disagree since David Okocha posted it on his @ocr_realty account.

One user wrote: ‘This one really makes me angry. They should not be allowed to get away with this.

‘Hopefully the owner will be reported for violations and forced to update that shitty apartment and the rest of the ones attached to it. It is shameful.”

“$3,495 for a roach motel,” another added.

“Jail for all involved,” one person wrote.

“That price doesn’t leave much for therapy because of the depression you’ll get from living here,” said another.

Okocha agreed, saying it was “the worst design in an apartment” he had ever seen.

“I don’t even know who designed this place, it’s just weird,” he said in the video.

‘When I first saw it, I thought I was in the wrong apartment and it was being renovated. I thought there was no way they were going to market this apartment,” he told the New York Post.

“Everything was very tight. I imagine, especially if you have guests, it won’t work if you have to squish everyone into the main studio space.

Despite this, Okocha believes the apartment will continue to be snapped up due to its location.
