Matthew Livelsberger, 37, has been identified as the bomber who blew up a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
Although officers have not publicly named Livelsberger, a veteran who served 19 years in the military, as the bomber, senior law enforcement sources confirmed his identity to KOAA and KTVV.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Livelsberger served 18 of his 19 years in the Army Special Forces. His current role was listed as Remote and Autonomous Systems Manager, where he had only been working for three months.
Law enforcement sources revealed that Livelsberger, who was killed in the explosion outside the hotel on Wednesday, had previously served at the same military base as New Orleans terrorist Shamsud Din Jabbar. Police cannot confirm whether the two knew each other.
