Charlotte Chilton has hit back at her ex Conor Maynard after the singer claimed a previously undisclosed battle with anxiety was the cause of his month-long absence from social media.
Maynard, 32, asked her Instagram followers for advice on Monday as she weighed the possibility of using prescription medications to relieve her symptoms after revealing her struggle with the cognitive disorder.
The singer had previously been attacked by Chilton for an apparent lack of recognition of her three-month-old daughter Penelope after conceiving the child during a one-night stand.
And returning to his own Instagram platform on Monday afternoon, Chilton, 33, a former contestant on Channel 4’s The Traitors, appeared to attack Maynard again.
Sharing a photo of a box of sertraline, he wrote: “100mg for the last year, going strong.”
Sertraline, also sold under the name Zoloft, is a commonly prescribed antidepressant that can also be used to treat anxiety disorders.

Chilton welcomed daughter Penelope in September following a one-night stand with Maynard.
But she insists the singer cheated on her online after discovering she was pregnant and has yet to express any interest in the child, who is understood to have suffered “tummy problems” in recent weeks.
In December, on Instagram (his first social media activity in a month), Maynard admitted that he was struggling emotionally and was hesitant about using prescription medications.
Addressing his followers, he wrote: ‘Has anyone here ever been prescribed diazepam, but their anxiety is so bad that they are literally too anxious to take it?
‘Please contact us if you have ever been in this position. “I can’t believe I’m posting this, but at this point, I’m not sure what else to do.”
He added: “Sorry, I haven’t posted anything in over a month.” This post alludes a little to why.
Commonly known as Valium, diazepam is a prescription medication typically used to treat anxiety disorders, insomnia, seizures, and the effects of drug and alcohol withdrawal.
Maynard returned to social media with a plea to her followers over Christmas after Chilton claimed she has yet to see her newborn daughter.
Maynard admitted that he was struggling emotionally and hesitant about the option of using prescription medications.
Chilton revealed in June that the singer, whose sister is dating The Traitors winner Harry Clarke, was the father of her unborn child. She said he cheated on her after discovering she was pregnant and subsequently refused to acknowledge the baby.
talking to OK!she said: ‘He knows (I have given birth) I didn’t hear anything, I had a real torment about whether to contact him when she was here or not.
And I thought I didn’t want to talk to him, but he has a right to know. “I knew that if I didn’t come closer people would say it didn’t bother me.”
Chilton also spoke candidly about her postpartum anxiety and the fact that Penelope takes after her father.
“There have been days where I’ve cried because I’m sitting here thinking, ‘I have a daughter who looks f***ing identical to you.'”
She continued to discuss whether she wanted Maynard to be a part of her daughter’s life, stating, “If she wants to get away from him, that’s fine, but she needs to make that decision for herself when she’s older. I’m not going to do that.” deny contact if he decides he wants to see her.
Chilton also revealed that his ex-wife Laura had supported her after the couple initially had a war of words following her pregnancy announcement.

Appearing on Loose Women in July, Chilton claimed Maynard was “cheating” on her and when asked if she was in contact with him, she replied: “I’m in contact, he’s not.”
When asked if he wanted the singer to be a part of his son’s life, he said: “This is a complicated question.” I’m always torn on what’s best for her. With me and my mental health and the damage it has done to me, no.
‘But I’m an adult and I have to put her first. I would like it for her at some point in her life. I don’t think it makes much sense at this point, but it has to be Penelope’s decision.
Maynard has been accused of showing no interest in his daughter after her birth in September.

In the post, the reality star donned a bright yellow sweater as she snuggled up to her baby girl, who looked adorable in a pink bodysuit with a white lace bow on her head.
Captioning her photo, she wrote: ‘Saturday hugs with my angel!! After some medical issues, she is very needy, but she is my little warrior princess!
“I continue to be very proud of my daughter and how she has taken these issues in her stride…we are a small team.”
