However, the son of Nine Entertainment guru Richard Wilkins looked almost unrecognizable as he volunteered at a charity luncheon on Wednesday.

Taking a break from his family’s festive celebrations, Christian dedicated his time to volunteering at Wayside Chapel’s Christmas lunch in Sydney.

Reporting on the long-running charity event, SBS News He captured Christian happily serving lunch to around 800 homeless and socially isolated people.

In stark contrast to his usual bold fashion choices, Christian opted for a more understated look.

He was wearing a tight blue and yellow t-shirt, which he tucked into a pair of plain black pants.

Christian completed his modest ensemble with a well-worn light gray cap that kept his long blonde locks in check.

He also wore a pair of thin-framed yellow glasses.

Speaking to SBS after serving lunches, Christian shared that witnessing the sense of community and camaraderie evident at the event was like a wonderful Christmas gift.

“It’s really amazing to hear people connect over little things,” he told the station.

‘People are just striking up conversations and making friends. I think that’s what a lot of people miss at Christmas.’

Christian’s humble appearance comes after he turned heads at the ARIA Awards last month with a bold and dramatic new look.

With a noticeably puffier face and striking facial contours, Christian looked almost unrecognizable compared to previous red carpet appearances.

The 29-year-old left viewers debating whether he had undergone cosmetic enhancements.

Meanwhile, Christian is certainly no stranger to the plight of Australians who are having it tough.

In 2017, he appeared in the SBS series Filthy Rich and Homeless, in which five wealthy Australians lived on the streets of Melbourne.

After begging on the streets to feed himself, Christian earned just $4, and the experience caused him to break down and have to call home with reverse charges.

After her mother picked up the receiver, the blonde sobbed, ‘Mom! I just don’t know what to do. Like, I don’t know what to do. I don’t know where to go.’

Christian had previously told The Binge: “Although I had a breakdown on the first day and had to call my mum, I was in this for the right reasons and I would get through it.”

“Ultimately, it’s not about us, it’s about the problem and the people we know.”

Christian, who recently moved to the US to pursue an acting career, laughed off suggestions he was a “nepo baby” after topping the list of Australia’s most privileged offspring.

The term ‘nepo baby’ refers to a person who benefits from their family connections or privileged environment.

Christian told Daily Mail Australia that his famous surname has made no difference to his success overseas.

“I feel very grateful to be my dad’s son and if that’s being a nepo baby, then whatever,” he said.

And yet, I can tell you this. Unfortunately, the Wilkins name doesn’t carry the same weight in Los Angeles, so I don’t necessarily feel like a nepo baby there.’

Dad said Richards also resisted the label, admitting that it “irritated” him.

“It irritates me a little because you look at any law firm or panelist and they all hug their families and give their children jobs and help them with their lives,” he said.

‘Why wouldn’t you do that? That’s being a father, helping your child. Yes, you can open a door, but he has to go through it.

In fact, Christian has been making waves on his own in Hollywood.

‘It’s great. I love living there. I’ve already filmed a couple of short films this year. “I just got the lead role in an online television series,” he revealed.

‘It’s very exciting. I feel so grateful to be able to come back here and have a safe landing spot and such a beautiful place to call home.

“I’ve always been a firm believer in chasing fear and it’s definitely scary, but so far it’s paying off and I love it.”

Richard added: “His timing last year wasn’t ideal, he moved there a week before the writers’ strike so not much happened, but this year he’s back and things are working out, it’s great.”
