A dad was shocked to discover he had become a millionaire just days before Christmas after landing one of two winning lottery tickets.
The man, who lives in Casino on the Northern Rivers in New South Wales, picked the winning numbers in last Friday’s Weekly Windfall draw.
The dad was left in tears after receiving a call from The Lott on Sunday telling him about his $1 million prize money.
‘Thank you, sir. This is the greatest blessing. “I’m crying,” he said.
‘I can’t believe it. I checked my ticket yesterday and I haven’t stopped thinking that maybe it’s just a dream.
The working father said he hopes it’s a sign of more good things to come for him and his children.
‘This is the best Christmas present… of my entire life!’ said.
‘I work every day. I’ll be working on Christmas too. It’s all for my family.

The man revealed that he plans to use the money to buy a new house.
The winning numbers for the Weekly Windfall 4484 drawing were 20, 45, 7, 15, 14 and 31. The supplementary numbers were 42 and 4.
The man bought the winning ticket at his local press agency, Plaza News.
Owner Bill Rose said he was delighted to have sold a winning ticket.
‘It’s very exciting. I’ve been telling customers all year that I’m going to sell a winning ticket, and I did!’ said.
‘Our lovely customers will be delighted. We will be spreading the good news throughout the week.
Rose revealed that the last time the small business sold a division one winning product was in October 2018.
The second division one winning ticket for Friday night’s draw was entered by a Western Australian resident.
There have been 225 division one winning entries so far in the current financial year, including 60 winning entries from New South Wales residents.
The Weekly Windfall helped 99 people across Australia become millionaires in the previous financial year, which included 109 division one winning entries.
The top division winners during this period took home a combined prize pool of $108 million.
