Hugh Jackman’s two sons are reportedly feeling guilty about welcoming his rumored new girlfriend, Sutton Foster, into their family a year after the actor split from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness.
Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, are adjusting to splitting time between their famous Australian parents and getting used to having Sutton, who also has a seven-year-old daughter called Emily, around.
“It’s been difficult for the kids having to welcome Sutton into their dad’s world with their own mixed feelings about it, and at the same time feeling guilty if they get too close,” a source told Woman’s Day.
“It’s all getting a little complicated, but Hugh is hoping time will heal all wounds, so if they can get through this Christmas season without any major explosions, they’ll be in calmer waters heading into the new year.”
Hugh, 56, is currently in Australia spending the holidays with his son Oscar and daughter Ava. It is unclear if his mother Deb will also return to Australia for Christmas.
The trio, who live in New York, are likely to stay in their stunning $12 million penthouse in North Bondi.

While Hugh enjoys an Australian Christmas with his children, Sutton is back in Los Angeles performing in the stage production of Once Upon A Mattress.
Hugh and Sutton’s romance has reportedly continued to blossom outside the spotlight, with the couple reaching a touching family milestone with Sutton’s adopted daughter.

It has been claimed that Deb was furious at being “the last to know” about the relationship.
According radaronlineDeb wasn’t especially impressed with Hugh’s close friend Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively, who reportedly “kept silent” about the rumored romance.
“They kept their lips sealed out of loyalty to Hugh,” a source told the publication.

However, Deb allegedly “didn’t like the idea” and a source claimed she doesn’t want a “blended” family Christmas.
“It’s a delicate balancing act and he feels that if anyone is going to spend less time with the kids this year, it’s him,” they added.
The source said Hugh and Sutton are determined to make their relationship work and are keeping things low-key for the time being.
Hugh and Sutton took on the roles of Harold Hill and Marian Paroo in The Music Man, which ran from February 2022 to January 2023 at the Winter Garden Theater in Manhattan.

In September 2023, Hugh surprised his fans when he filed for divorce from Deb.

Meanwhile, Sutton filed for divorce from her husband Ted Griffin in October.
The Tony-winning Broadway star and the Ocean’s Eleven screenwriter, 53, have split after 10 years of marriage, according to Page Six.
The younger actress filed for an uncontested divorce in New York County Supreme Court.
