Chris McCausland to highlight discrimination faced by disabled people in speech on December 25
‘I will never discriminate against any type of mince pie. They are all the same as me and will no doubt meet the same undignified end if I try to stuff it all into my mouth at once.
‘Discrimination is never a good thing. Well, I mean sometimes, I guess. Many, many years ago, before I got into comedy, I applied to be an MI5 spy.
‘I made it to the bottom 30 out of 3,000 applicants.
‘The 1% of potential spies this country had to offer before they decided that no, a blind spy was not what they were looking for, but I think they were right.
“I think sometimes discrimination can be vital to the security of the nation, but usually we can do better.”
