Neighbors have described the terrifying final moments of a Melbourne teenager who died from stab wounds after fleeing his alleged attackers in a mass fight.
The fight between more than 30 people broke out on McBurnie Drive, Kurunjang, in Melbourne’s northwest, shortly after 7pm on Friday.
When police arrived, the group had dispersed, but they found three men, aged 15, 18 and 22, injured at the scene.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the 18-year-old was pronounced dead.

A neighbor, Melissa Vines, said the teen jumped over the fence and started calling for help.

“He said a group of people jumped out of the car with machetes chasing him and his friends,” Ms Vines said.
“He was terrified, you could see the look in his eyes, he was scared.”
Another neighbor, Stacey Heaney, had heard the commotion and was shocked.
“It’s this time of year and I guess hearing someone beg one last time for their life is just horrible,” she said.
Neighbor Glenn Vines said the teen’s mother was “hysterical” as the terrifying scene unfolded.
“That was the worst part.”
Trish Vines added that she was “really upset and didn’t get much sleep last night.”
The group of about 30 people had dispersed by the time police arrived, but they found three men injured at the scene.
“I felt very sorry for them.”
The 15- and 22-year-olds were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
They are under police surveillance in the hospital.
Police previously said they believed the people involved in the alleged fight knew each other.
