A flight attendant has revealed the most annoying thing travelers do when boarding long-haul flights.

Skye Taylor, 49, from Southampton, spent 17 years working as a flight attendant, starting out on low-cost airlines to eventually move up the career ladder and land a job at Virgin Atlantic.

However, after hanging up her wings just over a year ago, Taylor is sharing secrets from her previous line of work.

Now, he has shared which traveler behavior bothers him the most on long-haul flights, except it’s much healthier than you think.

He said he feels bad on a long flight if passengers avoid awkward conversations with cabin crew out of social anxiety or fear of discomfort.

Skye said, “If you have a long flight, don’t stay silent.” I’d rather have someone come up to me and say, ‘I’m cold, can you bring me an extra blanket or can you turn on the air conditioning?’ than sitting there and being cold the entire flight. That’s my biggest bug bear.

‘I also always check with people, ‘Are you warm enough?’, you know, it’s just a polite attitude.

“You know what it’s like on a train, I’m terrible on a train, or we get frozen to death, and I think it’s the same thing when you’re doing a long-haul flight.

“People aren’t used to that in their body, we never get used to it, but we are more equipped to deal with it.”

‘And I just think, no, please don’t do it. “I couldn’t imagine someone sitting there for 10 hours and being so cold.”

He added that, according to his experience, the temperature on board the aircraft can vary

Sky explained: ‘Certain spots on the plane will also be colder than others. So always, if you are next to the door, you will be cold throughout the flight. Well. Yes, you may have more legroom, but you will be colder.

“So always double up there too, definitely.”

It comes after Skye shared the simple mistake on a plane that could get her banned from flying for life.

Skye previously told MailOnline: “I was watching a TikTok the other day and I was absolutely horrified.”

“An influencer went over the markings (on the track), the safety area, and everyone was like, ‘Oh wow, that’s awesome.’

“But she was right near the engine, it was ridiculous.”

However, the former stewardess was even more horrified by another influencer.

She said: “I’ve seen a lot of other things that make me think, ‘Oh my God!’

‘In another video, an influencer was like writing on the mirror or something in the bathroom, and I was thinking that could end up being a huge safety risk.

“Because messages have been known to be left for, you know, (dangerous people) and I think a lot of times, people, I don’t want to say it because I’m older, but it’s like a younger generation thing.

“I think common sense goes out the window.

“At the end of the day, it’s all about safety, something could happen to you or put that plane in danger, and I’ve seen it many times.”

Skye believes that some influencers have become more brazen and daring just so that others will watch their videos without thinking about the serious consequences.

“Doing that to get views is ridiculous,” he continued.

It’s crazy, and you’ll probably be banned from flying for life, too.
