WA Police Commissioner Colonel Blanch said it is important for drivers to pay attention to what is happening on the roads around them.
“It’s about road users paying attention to what’s around them and I don’t think I’m in a position where I’m going to blame children for riding their bikes on the streets, this is about a driver paying attention to what’s around them. “You’re doing it,” he said.
“At this point, all I know is that there were indications of the presence of alcohol, but I don’t know what the speed was, but the Major Crash investigation team will determine that.”
Major Crash investigators are examining the scene.
