The Block stars Dan Reilly and Dani Wales have revealed that their newborn daughter has tragically died.
The reality TV couple took to Instagram on Friday to share the devastating news that their daughter Billie Vera Reilly passed away on Wednesday at just 10 days old.
They posted a photo of themselves cuddling while standing at their daughter’s bedside in the hospital.
In a heartbreaking tribute, Dani shared her “insurmountable” grief and said both she and Dan feel “honored” to be Billie’s parents.
They wrote: ‘Billie Vera Reilly 8/12/24 – 12/18/24. It is with insurmountable pain that we share the news that our daughter Billie passed from this life to the next at just 10 days old.
‘During Billie’s short time in this world, she taught us an intensity of love and pain that we never thought possible. She taught us what really matters.

‘Billie was so dear, so loved and she made us parents… and what an honor it is to be her mom and dad. She will always be our daughter.

Dani continued to encourage people to make a donation in Billie’s honor to the Royal Women’s Hospital through her memory. fundraising page.
She wrote: “We want to make a special mention of ‘Billie’s Besties’ at @theroyalwomens – the NICU nurses, doctors and staff are some of the most incredible people to ever walk this earth and we will be forever grateful for the care and love.” They gave us and our girl.

A whopping $3,640 has already been raised through their fundraising for the NICU consultants, nurses and staff at Randwick Hospital, Sydney.
Dani emotionally closed her post by asking for privacy and telling her followers that they will share more about Billie’s story in the future.
Dan and Dani first came to national attention when they appeared on the 2012 series of The Block and married in 2018.
“Lastly, we understand that there will be questions and many of the answers we don’t have yet,” he added.
‘We will share more over time, but for now we ask for privacy as we work through this together and with our loved ones.

The couple was inundated with heartfelt messages of condolence from their friends and followers.

On The Block, the pair took second place and a hefty $448,000 and are now a staple of the reality series, with Dan as taskmaster.
Dan and Dani announced they were expecting their first child together in a post shared on Instagram in July.

The couple, who were dating at the time, took second place and a hefty $448,000.
The couple returned in 2013 for the series The Block All Stars, coming in third place and earning $220,000.
Dan has since taken on the role of foreman on the show and they also host the series Dan vs Dani, criticizing each team’s room reveals each week.
The couple married in 2018 in an intimate ceremony on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
