Enzo Fernández’s ex-fiancee, Valentina Cervantes, spoke about her breakup with the Chelsea star.
It comes after Fernandez, 23, split from his childhood love Cervantes to live alone, even though they had a daughter and son together.
Cervantes followed Fernandez to Benfica when he joined the club in 2022, and then moved to London when he signed for Chelsea in a deal worth £107m last January.
But just over 18 months later, the couple decided to go their separate ways.
The Chelsea star has enjoyed a good run since splitting from Cervantes, who has since moved back in with his family, before opening up about the relationship.
In a recent interview with PaparazziHe said: ‘Everything was fine and suddenly one day he told me that he didn’t want to be there anymore. There are things I still have to process, but that’s it, I accepted it.

‘When we met, I was working in an empanada restaurant and studying law. He was in River’s youth team and then played in the reserve team. When we moved in together, I changed jobs to a call center near the Obelisk.
‘At that time I earned more than what my representative gave me, we spent all my salary, I had nothing left to save. And after 9 months I got pregnant with Olivia, I was 19 years old.’
When asked if she was still in love with the Chelsea star, she replied: “I think the love is still there because it’s very difficult for it to go away so quickly.”
‘I don’t depend on a man or anyone to be happy. With the company of my children I will always be happy.’
Since their split, Fernandez has seen a dramatic improvement in form with the west London side and has returned to the starting line-up, contributing three goals and eight assists in his 20 appearances for the Blues.
Cervantes also revealed, in a separate interview, that he had reunited Fernández with their two children, Olivia and Benjamín, for the first time since their separation.
“It only took a few days, so luckily they were able to be with their dad and I was with them too, so it was great,” he explained to Minute One.
Cervantes initially broke her silence on the matter a month later, when she appeared on the Argentine television show LAM, and shared that her background as the daughter of separated parents had shaped her mature perspective.
“Everyone takes it and goes through different processes, I tried to go on the healthier side,” Cervantes told journalist Alejandro Castelo. ‘I love Enzo, I would never disrespect him.
“He is a person who accompanied me for many years and I also accompanied him and will continue to accompany him.”
Fernández has enjoyed good form since breaking up with his childhood sweetheart.

Cervantes added that she felt “comfortable” with her current single marital status and explained that, however, the breakup had been “a surprise.”
“(There could) be fatigue on his part, but it didn’t happen on my part,” he added.
‘What he has done since the day we separated is his life. I’m not going to get involved and I’m going to respect the woman he chooses, as long as my children are okay with it.
“As I respect him, I would respect the woman he chooses to have by his side.”
Announcing the end of their relationship in October, Cervantes wrote on Instagram: ‘With Enzo today we say we are distancing ourselves. But we will always be family and we will support each other in everything. Because there are two children in the middle who need a lot of our love for them.
‘I know the person and the excellent father that Enzo is, and the heart he has. And that’s enough for me. They don’t want to create wars where there aren’t any.
Rumors suggest that Fernández is now dating Argentine rapper and singer Nicki Nicole
Since their split, rumors have begun to circulate suggesting that Fernández is now dating Argentine rapper and singer Nicki Nicole.
Neither Nicole nor Fernández have yet commented on the alleged budding romance, but according to The NationThe couple are believed to have met at the end of October at the Moby Dick nightclub in Buenos Aires.
Fernandez is believed to have split from Cervantes before the start of his relationship with Nicole, but the pair were filmed talking at the nightclub on TikTok, although shortly after the video went viral, Nicole shared a comment saying she had attended to the party with ‘the person (she) is currently dating’.
According to the outlet, Nicole, who has a staggering 22.6 million followers on Instagram, is believed to have previously dated Formula One prospect Franco Colapinto.
