Tense moment struggling Indian cricket star Virat Koli gets into heated spat with Aussie camera crew

Indian cricket sensation Virat Kohli has been involved in a tense altercation with journalists at the Melbourne airport.

Kohli was arriving in the city along with several members of his family ahead of next week’s Boxing Day Test, but the 36-year-old appeared to object to camera crews outside the arrivals hall.

Addressing a film crew, he revealed that he had been outraged by the presence of cameras directed at his family.

“With my children I need some privacy, you can’t film without asking me,” the former Indian captain was heard saying.

Explaining the situation further, 7News reporter Theo Doropoulos said: “It was upon seeing the cameras waiting that Kohli got a little angry at what is largely a misunderstanding when he thought the media was filming him with his children.”

Both Channel 7 and Channel 9 have said that at no point were Kohli’s children filmed during the family’s arrival.

After walking away from the cameras, he spoke to reporters again to clarify things. He was heard saying: “If I’m alone, it’s okay.” Did you ask?

It is understood that film crews had been at the airport to film Victorian bowler Scott Boland, but had seen Kohli and his family also leaving the airport.

The Indian batsman, who has over 270 million followers on Instagram, strives to keep his family out of the public eye.
