Brighton striker Evan Ferguson has reportedly attracted interest from a Premier League rival ahead of the January transfer window.
The 20-year-old has had limited playing time for the Seagulls so far this season, playing just 368 minutes in total across all competitions.
Ferguson has started just twice in the Premier League for Fabian Hurzeler’s side, with his only goal of the campaign coming against Wolves in October.
The Irish international made 36 appearances in all competitions last season for Brighton and scored six goals in total.
His progress has been affected by an ankle injury that kept him out for five months, forcing him to wait until September to play his first game this season.
Ferguson was linked with a loan move from Brighton last month in search of regular minutes, with Danny Welbeck, Georginio Rutter and Joao Pedro among Hurzeler’s attacking options.

Fulham are reportedly exploring a deal to loan the forward in the January window.
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler last month dismissed reports that Ferguson could leave on loan
According the independentPremier League rivals Fulham are exploring the possibility of a loan deal for Ferguson until the end of the season.
Marco Silva’s side reportedly believe they can offer Ferguson regular playing time and strengthen their forward line.
The Cottagers are currently eighth in the Premier League, level on points but once ahead of Brighton.
Hurzeler, however, had attempted to pour cold water on suggestions that Ferguson could leave on loan in January.
“I don’t know where this information comes from because I told Evan I’m happy he’s here with the team,” Hurzeler said last month, following reports of a possible loan exit.
“I’m happy with how he’s training, what shape he’s in physically and mentally. Of course, he’s a young player and needs playing time.
‘Embrace your role and make sure you are in the frame of mind and shape that, when you get the opportunity, you are ready.
‘It’s exactly what I demand from Evan and also what I told him.
“I never told him anything about a loan or anything like that.”
