Charlotte Tilbury has sold her eponymous makeup brand and will hand over full ownership of her line to a Spanish firm in 2031.

Barcelona-based Puig, which also owns Carolina Herrera, Dries Van Noten and Jean Paul Gaultier, first took a minority stake in the brand in 2020, and in the four years since then, Charlotte Tilbury has more than tripled its net income.

Their successes led Puig to reveal today that he has extended his collaboration with Charlotte Tilbury until 2030.

The makeup mogul, 51, who spends her time between London and Ibiza and is close friends with supermodel Kate Moss, will retain a majority stake until 2030, before Puig takes full ownership in 2031. fashion business reported.

“It is a privilege to continue our strong collaboration with Charlotte and her team,” Marc Puig, president and CEO of the Puig family firm, told the fashion magazine.

Charlotte found fame as a makeup artist backstage on the fashion week circuit, before establishing her brand in 2018.

Her products quickly became synonymous with soft, glamorous makeup, earning her a host of celebrity fans, including Bella Hadid, Kylie Minogue and Sienna Miller.

In 2020, after just eight years building her empire, Charlotte closed a deal with the Spanish company Puig to take her great British brand global.

Puig acquired a majority stake worth an estimated £1 billion, with Charlotte retaining a “significant minority” and continuing as chairman, president and creative director.

Reports on how much she herself earned from the lucrative Puig deal vary between £50m and £500m.

The brand’s success is largely due to its flagship products, including the Pillow Talk and Magic Cream lipstick range.

Between April 2020 and March 2021, at a time when we were told women weren’t even wearing makeup due to the pandemic, five products from the Pillow Talk range were sold every minute.

Charlotte grew up in Ibiza. Her artist father, Lance, and film production director mother, Patsy, moved there when she was nine months old and became part of a thriving party scene.

Beauty products giant Coty Inc. announced in November 20219 that it would buy a 51 percent stake in Jenner’s makeup and skin care empire.

The reality star-turned-beauty mogul, then 22, still owns an estimated 44 percent stake. At the time, the sale gave Jenner’s company a new valuation of $1.2 billion.

Jenner was named by Forbes earlier this year as the world’s youngest self-made billionaire of all time, with an estimated net worth of $1 billion.

The kits sold out within minutes of their launch, an early sign of the power of their more than 270 million followers on social media.

It comes after Kylie Minogue was unveiled as the new face of Charlotte Tilbury’s Christmas campaign alongside Richard E. Grant, Kate Moss and Amelia Dimoldenberg.

To launch her new holiday campaign, titled Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Show, the makeup mogul stepped up her celebrity reach by pulling out all the stops to feature a stellar line-up of talent.

Showing off glitter eyeliner, Minogue, 56, posed in a silver sequin minidress for her shoot alongside Tilbury, 51.

Minogue and Tilbury have been friends for years, but this is the first makeup campaign they have worked on together.

In 2019, Tilbury launched a lipstick called Dancefloor Princess in tribute to Minogue.

Meanwhile, Moss, 50, radiated her usual glamor in pink eyeshadow.
