One man has been shot and another is on the run in rural Queensland.
Police and emergency services were called to a property in Lockyer Valley, in the state’s southeast, shortly before 6am following reports that a firearm had been discharged.
“Initial investigations indicate a 31-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body,” a Queensland Police spokesperson said.
“The offender is believed to have fled shortly before police arrived.”
A 31-year-old man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Anyone with information that may assist investigations, including CCTV footage or dash cams in the area at the time, is asked to contact police.
