The House Speaker has claimed to know about the mysterious drones wreaking havoc over New Jersey and New York, in surprising new claims.
Michael McCaul said Tuesday he believes some of the unidentified aircraft are “spy drones” from China, after it emerged that the communist state had seized strategically located farmland next to military installations in the US.
The lawyer emphasized the need to identify who is behind the drones, but said that based on his judgment and experience, he believes the drones over our military sites are hostile and most likely originate from the People’s Republic of China.
It comes after Biden administration officials dismissed speculation, insisting many of the drones were nothing more than harmless commercial aircraft.
“We want answers, but the answer I’m getting is we don’t know who the drones belong to,” McCaul said before executive branch officials offered a classified briefing to members of the House Intelligence Committee.
“I was with the NASA administrator, Bill Nelson, and he said these drones have been reported over military sites, military bases. I wouldn’t think they are friendly. “I would think this is hostile,” he added.
“I believe they are spy drones and that the People’s Republic of China and Communist China are very good at that. We know they bought land around military bases. This would be very consistent with their policies over the past few years,” he said.
“We’re not getting any answers and I think it’s because our government doesn’t know who is behind it and I find that very disturbing.”

“They seem to think most of them come from America,” he continued.
“It’s the ones above the military bases that I can’t explain, and neither can they.”
In June, it was revealed that China had purchased land near US military facilities, raising national security fears about possible espionage or even sabotage.
Some 19 bases across the US, from Florida to Hawaii, are in close proximity to land bought by Chinese entities that could be exploited by spies working for the communist nation.
They include some of the Army’s most strategically important bases: Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg) in Fayetteville, North Carolina; Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood) in Killeen, Texas; Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California, and MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
In recent weeks, reports of mysterious drone sightings have emerged, raising concerns among locals and authorities.
This month, unidentified aircraft have been reported over New Jersey’s Picatinny Arsenal and the state’s Naval Weapons Station Earle — and on Sunday, the temporary closure of New York’s Stewart International Airport near Poughkeepsie was enforced.
The drones, described as fixed-wing aircraft with multiple lights and a wingspan of 8 to 10 feet, have evaded detection, raising concerns about their origin and purpose.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has said many of the drones are commercial, but the White House has admitted it does not know the reasons behind the recent wave of sightings.
The FBI, FAA, Pentagon and Department of Homeland Security said in a joint statement Monday that there was little cause for concern.
“We believe that the sightings to date include a combination of legal commercial drones, hobbyist drones and law enforcement drones, as well as manned fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and stars incorrectly reported as drones,” the agencies said.
The White House said Thursday that the drones are mostly “manned aircraft operated lawfully.”

Some reported sightings claimed car-sized drones flew over sensitive military installations and infrastructure such as train stations.
Both the White House and the FBI have said they cannot fully explain the origins of the drones and have stated that they do not believe it is sinister.
John Kirby, a Biden administration national security spokesman, told reporters at a news conference on Thursday: “We have no evidence at this time that the reported drone sightings pose a threat to national security or public safety, or have a foreign connection.’
But after the wave of sightings, Roseanne Barr, among many others, attributed the citizen confusion and lack of information about the staggering number of drones in the sky to something that “ Project Blue Beam.

The theory has recently regained traction on the Internet, as commentators and social media users claim that the US government could orchestrate an alien invasion as a pretext for imposing authoritarian rule.
This bizarre theory is one of many that have been amplified over the past week in the information vacuum left in the wake of the Biden administration’s inability to tell the public where the drones are coming from or who is behind them.
President-elect Donald Trump on Monday accused President Biden and his underlings of a cover-up, but said he does not believe it is the work of a hostile foreign power.
“Look, our military knows where they started from; if it is a garage, they can go directly into that garage. They know where it came from and where it went, and for some reason they don’t want to comment,” Trump said.
“And I think they’re better off if they tell it like it is. Our military knows it and our president knows it. And for some reason they want to keep people in suspense.”
“I can’t imagine it’s the enemy,” Trump added.
“Because if it was the enemy, they would destroy it, even if they were late, they would destroy it. Something strange is going on. For some reason they don’t want to tell people, and they should.”
