The dancer looked delighted to be back at work after MailOnline revealed she will be making a triumphant return for the Strictly live tour after being forced to pull out of this year’s competition.

Amy looked gorgeous dressed in head-to-toe red for her BBC Breakfast interview, pairing heels with chic trousers and a festive jumper.

The Strictly favorite was promoting her new tour with Carlos, titled Reborn, which will go on tour next spring.

But before that, Amy will be back on the dance floor, performing as part of the Strictly live tour in January.

The professional dancer, 34, was left devastated after suffering a stress fracture to her shin, causing her to miss the series, which later saw her partner, JLS singer JB Gill, 38, arrive to the end.

Amy had returned to Strictly this year for the first time after undergoing a mastectomy following her breast cancer diagnosis, which made her injury and having to leave the show even more painful.

Dancer Lauren Oakley, 33, will also star in the tour and compete with JB after replacing Amy when she fell ill in this series.

They are just one of seven couples who will travel across the country in the New Year for the 30-date tour, which begins on January 17 and ends on February 9.

Amy and JB will be joined on the Strictly tour by EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas, Gladiator Montell Douglas and Kai Widdrington, opera singer Wynne Evans and Katya Jones and actor Shayne Ward and his partner Nancy XU.

Finalists Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec and Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola complete Strictly’s all-star line-up after Saturday night’s final saw Chris McCausland make history by becoming the first blind contestant to win the show.

Winner Chris will not appear on the Strictly tour because he did not believe he would stay in the competition for so long, let alone win.

But he will go on his own tour with the comedy show Yonks!, which he originally delayed to appear on the BBC dance series.

Chris said: “I started the tour in January this year and did the first leg until May and then was due back in September but we changed the dates to strictly accommodate…

“It just wasn’t a consideration at the time because I don’t think anyone thought I would be good at it.”
