Sports Personality of the Year winner Keely Hodgkinson continued her night of celebrations, as she donned a spectacular white feather dress to leave the dazzling ceremony on Tuesday.

The sprinter, 22, was awarded the top honor after winning gold at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games earlier this year.

Having appeared on the red carpet in a striking strapless black dress, Keely donned a daring white feather dress as she left the ceremony at Media City in Manchester.

Keely showed off her athletic physique in a fitted white dress with a feather stole, paired with pointed black heels.

Other stars who were also seen leaving the ceremony included Sir Bradley Wiggins, Barry McGuigan and Luke Littler.

Keely was facing tough competition after a formidable sporting year with the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris earlier this year, as well as Wimbledon, the Euros and several World Cups.

The sports sensation beat superstar darts player Luke Littler, triathlete Alex Yee, footballer Jude Bellingham, para-cyclist Sarah Storey and cricketer Joe Root for the all-time title.

The Olympic 800 meters champion had a surprising year: the 22-year-old won gold at the Paris Olympics and defended her European title.

Not only did she take home several medals, but she also became the sixth fastest woman in history, setting a new British record of one minute and 54.61 seconds.

After former winners Sir Chris Hoy and Mary Earps presented her with the award, the Olympian confessed she was “a little bit in shock.”

‘To be honest, I’m more excited for my coach! “This year has been absolutely incredible for me,” he added.

‘I am very grateful to be in this position. I wish you all a wonderful evening, thank you very much!’

But the runway isn’t the only place Hodgkinson gets her heart racing as she dons an elegant backless black dress, with glamorous sheer sleeves covering her hands.

While on the red carpet, she revealed that it would be a huge win not only for her but also for her sport, “showing off” not only herself “but all the amazing athletes.”

‘It would be fantastic to win. “If you look at the names on the list, not just athletics, you have Andy Murray, Lewis Hamilton, British icons,” he added.

“So it would be cool to put my name on there too, so fingers crossed.”

During the ceremony, the athlete spoke of her talent and passion for athletics and added that life has been “incredible” since Paris.

“I bring out the best in myself when I have something to aspire to.” she explained.

‘I was very inspired by Jessica Ennis-Hill at London 2012. You start dreaming until you’re a teenager.

‘There is definitely a difference. “It’s been amazing since Paris, people have been reaching out to me with amazing messages saying their kids love watching it.”

He previously mentioned that he would be happier to see his mentor and coach Trevor Painter win the Coach of the Year award.

Painter alongside Jenny Meadows won the category, whose previous winners include the likes of Wigan Warriors boss Matt Peet and former Chelsea US women’s coach Emma Hayes.

Painter not only led Hodgkinson to gold in Paris, but also guided Georgia Bell to a bronze medal in the 1500m, as well as Lewis Davey to a bronze in the men’s 4x400m relay.

“It would be even better than me winning it,” Hodgkinson said when asked about the possibility of Painter winning his class. “I think he deserves it very much.

‘I’m not sure of any other coach this year who has worked as hard as him to achieve three Olympic medals within our training group.

“It just creates such a fun environment for all of us that makes us want to keep coming back and working hard.”

‘He has a very good work ethic and believes in all of us. “That’s what has helped us achieve so much on the court.”

Luke Littler, a close contender for Sports Personality of the Year, came in second in the publicly voted award.

Although he missed out on the top prize, the 17-year-old took home the Young Sports Personality of the Year trophy, beating Paralympic swimmer Will Ellard and Olympic skater Sky Brown.
