Diane Delano, the character actress best known for her recurring role on the popular 1990s series Northern Exposure, has died at age 67.
The television actress died on Friday at her home in Los Angeles, according to reports TMZ.
His representative said he had died after a brief illness, but the official cause of his death has not yet been revealed.
Delano was known for the recurring role of Officer Barbara Semanski on the comedy-drama Northern Exposure, which ran for six seasons on CBS from 1990 to 1995.
Her most notable film work was in the 2006 remake of the horror classic The Wicker Man, in which she played Sister Beech.
The remake directed by Neil LaBute, starring Nicolas Cage, was harshly criticized, but has become a cult film due to its over-the-top lead performance.

Delano was born on January 29, 1957 in Los Angeles, where he appears to have spent most of his life.
Among her most popular works is the teen comedy-drama Popular, in which she played imposing science teacher Roberta ‘Bobbi’ Glass, as well as her twin sister, nurse Jessi Glass.
That series aired for two seasons on The WB.
Delano also ventured into soap operas with nine episodes of Days Of Our Lives in 2008 and 2009, in which she played FBI agent Hilda Van Beno.
