Tyson Fury has revealed he has had no contact with his wife of 16 years for the past three months as he prepares for his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk this weekend.
Fury will face Usyk for the second time in seven months on Saturday evening after losing on points to the Ukrainian in May.
And there can be little doubt about how seriously Fury is taking the fight as he plots revenge.
Speaking about his training camp, Fury told TNT Sports presenter Dev Sahni: ‘It’s been a long camp. I’ve been away from my wife and children for three months, I haven’t spoken to Paris at all for three months, not a word. Yes, I have sacrificed a lot.’
Sahni responded that it would all be worth it if Fury wins the rematch, to which Fury replied: “It will be worth it, 100 percent.”
Fury has been married to his wife Paris since 2008. The couple has seven children together, and she is often ringside for his fights.

However, she was not present when Fury was defeated by Usyk earlier this year.
Fury later revealed that Paris had suffered a miscarriage the night before the fight, but did not tell him outright before entering the ring.
However, the Gypsy King claimed he learned of the devastating news after having a phone call with Paris on the eve of the battle.
“When she said she couldn’t come over, I knew there was a problem,” Fury said in October. “She normally comes out during fight week, but she said she had high blood pressure.
“I knew she wouldn’t come on Friday and (Saudi boxing chief) Turki Alalshikh offered us a private jet to avoid the high blood pressure and said he would take the doctor with him.
‘She said she couldn’t come and I asked her what was going on and asked her to tell me but she didn’t. So I knew, I knew there was a problem. I told my brother, “She lost that baby.” She never told me she had lost the baby, but I knew.
“I’m not making excuses, but she was six months pregnant; it’s not like a minor miscarriage at first, you have to physically deliver a dead child on your own while your husband is abroad. I couldn’t be there for her at that moment and that was hard for me. Going through that alone is not good.
“I’ve been with the woman longer than I’ve been away from her, so it’s hard that I couldn’t be with her during that time. When I came back I got the inevitable confirmation that it was gone, but she kept it to herself.”
Tyson and Paris have dealt with heartbreak within their family several times.
Paris gave birth to a stillborn baby in 2014 and suffered a miscarriage four years later. She learned of her miscarriage on the same day Tyson made his long-awaited comeback after three years in the ring against Sefer Seferi in June 2018, but only told her husband after he raised his hand.
Fury has insisted the miscarriage did not affect his performance against Usyk, but his trainer Andy Lee believes it did have an impact on him.
“Tyson never talked about it. He never said anything about it but he was very quiet,” Lee told The Sun.
“Even on the day of the fight in the afternoon, the fight is happening there so late, it must have been about 6 or 7 p.m., we all went for a walk and he was very quiet.

Fury suffered his first career loss when Paris was absent from ringside
“When Tyson entered the ring, I saw someone who was a little bit excited and I think maybe all those little things that were going on leading up to the fight were going on in his head, or maybe just that little bit. of concern for him,” he added.
“If you watch the fight back, I see that he wasn’t really himself before the fight. As usual, he is completely in himself.
“So just an interesting insight, something that struck me immediately when he stepped in the ring,” the trainer said.
Fury has now landed in Saudi Arabia, with the biggest fight of his career just days away.
Whether Paris will be ringside remains to be seen, but Fury is already looking forward to a reunion with his wife and children at Christmas.
And this time he hopes to bring some heavyweight titles back to Britain.
