Steve Bannon pushed a new conspiracy theory that Joe Biden could somehow be behind the recent drone sightings over New Jersey as part of a deliberate effort to “work against” the United States and President-elect Donald Trump.
Trump’s former advisor said to an audience at the 112th Annual Young Republican Club of New York Gala that “the Biden regime…every day works against the country and against President Trump.”
He cited the administration’s record in Ukraine and Syria before sensationally adding: “And well, I don’t know. Are they the ones who got the drones over New Jersey?
There is nothing to suggest the Biden administration is monitoring the mysterious objects flying over the East Coast, and White House national security communications adviser John Kirby has insisted that the sightings pose no “threat to the national security or public safety.
But the government’s lack of clear explanations for the sightings, which have continued since Nov. 18, have drawn fierce criticism from both Republicans and Democrats.
A New Jersey mayor also expressed concern when he revealed that his fire department was ordered to wear protective suits in case flying objects crashed.
New Jersey officials and federal investigators have been besieged by reports of seemingly unexplained planes, some as large as cars, making strange, unscheduled nighttime flights over sensitive sites across the state.
Swarms of drones have been seen in the skies over New Jersey for weeks, prompting officials to call for a “limited state of emergency.”

‘They are exacerbating the problems in Ukraine. They are exacerbating the problems in Syria, in the Middle East. They are exacerbating the problems with the Chinese Communist Party.
‘They have sent all our ammunition. And hey, I don’t know, are they the ones who got the drones over New Jersey?
For its part, the Department of Defense issued a statement on December 14 addressing the recent sightings.
A spokesman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed that sightings had occurred at the sensitive Picatinny Arsenal research facility, but downplayed their significance.
“We have had confirmed sightings at Picatinny Arsenal and Naval Weapons Station Earle,” the spokesperson said.
‘This is not a new issue for us. We have had to deal with drone incursions on our bases for quite some time now. “It’s something we routinely respond to in each and every case when a report is cited.”
The spokesperson assured that the bases have “means” to detect and respond to drones, and that security in place is trained to identify and use “tools” to prevent drones from flying over US bases without authorization.
They admitted that they still don’t know who is behind the mysterious sightings.
“To date, we have no intelligence or observations that indicate they were aligned with a foreign actor or had malicious intent,” the spokesperson said.
‘But… we don’t know. We have been unable to locate or identify the operators or points of origin.’

Lawmakers have been quick to demand action, with Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer demanding that DHS “deploy special drone detection” over New Jersey and New York.
‘I’m pushing for answers amid these drone sightings. “I am asking that (Secretary Mayorkas) deploy special drone detection technology in New York and New Jersey,” he wrote on X.
“And I’m working to pass a bill in the Senate that gives local authorities more tools for drone detection.”
In fact, Alejandro Mayorkas’ Department of Homeland Security is set to deploy drone detection systems in New Jersey and New York after weeks of drone sightings across the region.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul wrote: “In response to my requests for additional resources, our federal partners are sending a drone detection system to New York.”
‘I’m grateful for the support, but we need more. ‘Congress must pass a law that gives us the power to deal directly with drones,’ he warned.
Mayorkas, who confirmed in an interview Sunday that the federal government does not have the authority to take down drones, said some help is on the way.
‘We understand why residents are concerned. In response and in close coordination with the (New Jersey State Police) and other law enforcement agencies, (Homeland Security) quickly deployed personnel and technology to provide support.’
He clarified that so far, despite many theories to the contrary, DHS has not found any link between drones and any foreign government.

Retired police lieutenant and intelligence analyst Tim McMillan told DailyMail.com that suspicions about possible Russian involvement arose because of the location of many sightings: Picatinny Arsenal, a major plant that manufactures munitions supplied to Ukraine.

Drones have also been seen over a US air base in Britain, which will become the home of US nuclear weapons.
Footage obtained by MailOnline shows what are suspected to be four drones, flying blatantly with bright lights, in the evening darkness over RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk.
The US Air Force admitted last month that drones had flown over three of its bases in the UK: RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk and nearby RAF Feltwell, Norfolk.
