The founder of a ‘socialist clothing’ brand has created a deck of cards featuring what he calls the ‘most wanted CEOs’, with their names and faces, and decorated with an illustration of a shooting target.
James Harr, founder of Comrade Workwear, has been calling on his followers to take down more corporate executives in the immediate aftermath of the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on December 4.
He then announced on his social media pages on Saturday that he plans to sell a deck of cards featuring the names and faces of some of the world’s best-known CEOs.
Harr said he got the idea from one of his more than 100,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok, who was inspired by the “Iraqis most wanted” cards distributed to U.S. forces during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
The goal of those cards, he explained, was to help soldiers “find and do what they needed to do” with highlighted targets.
Harr went on to list some well-known business executives, whom DailyMail.com declines to identify, who could be included on the platform, and asked his followers to help him find more.
“I’m actively doing this card game: 52 CEOs,” he said in the video posted on social media.
“I have a list, but if anyone has someone exceptional they want to include in the ring, let me know,” Harr continued, adding that the deck would be available for pre-order in the “next few days.”
James Harr, founder of Comrade Workwear, announced Saturday that he plans to sell a deck of cards featuring the names and faces of some of the world’s best-known CEOs.
He called the deck the ‘Most Wanted CEOs’ deck and, he said, it should be available for pre-order on Sunday night.
He then asked on his Instagram Stories what he should call the deck: ‘Most Wanted CEOs’ received the most votes at 40 percent.
Other contenders included “Target Practice,” which received 31 percent of the votes, and “Eat the Rich,” which garnered 29 percent.
Harr then suggested the ‘Target Acquired’ deck, which 64 percent of his followers apparently liked.
But in a follow-up video, Harr seemingly went with his first ‘CEO Most Wanted’ pick as he showed off a preliminary design for the platform, featuring a red silhouette of a shooting range on the back.
Each card would then include a black-and-white photo of a CEO with their name, the company they’re in charge of, and a QR code under the heading “Why They’re Evil,” which Harr would take to a page outlining their apparent sins.
The CEOs would be divided into different suits for different industries, with the Clubs representing business executives from pharmaceutical and chemical companies, and the Hearts representing “the things you need to survive,” such as retail and real estate.
Meanwhile, Diamonds would represent CEOs from “technology, finance and media,” and Spades would represent executives from the “oil and war” industries.
Harr has since finalized the design and list of chief executives to be included, and would put them on reserve for Sunday night, he told DailyMail.com.
The announcement follows the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson (pictured).
Thompson was shot and killed in midtown Manhattan on December 4.
He said he will now begin communicating with manufacturers and hopes to have them available within the next six to eight weeks.
Pricing for the platform, based on production costs, has yet to be determined, Harr said.
“All work has value and I make sure my supply chains are ethical and fair,” he explained, noting that “Comrade is a one-man army.”
‘By definition, I cannot make a profit because I have no workers to exploit. I am a worker with thousands of student debts and I would love to be able to do something that people like, that advances the cause, but that can also get me out of financial precariousness.’
Harr also noted that he “has not and does not condone acts of physical violence and has never asked anyone to commit such acts.”
Many of his followers, however, seem interested in purchasing a deck, with one even lamenting that his “only complaint is that they won’t be ready in time for Christmas.”
Others also offered to help, as one of his followers asked him if he needed “someone to look into his addresses,” while another suggested he make another deck “for the good guys like Luigi (Mangione) too.”
But the letters are just Harr’s latest reaction to Thompson’s death.
Last Monday, Harr shared a graphic on his Instagram that read: ‘The CEO must die.’
in a video posted on TikTok On the day of the shooting, Harr shared a photo of the CEO of Blue Cross Blue Anthem and said “it’s crazy” that the company announced it would no longer pay for anesthesia during the entire surgery.
“I would just like to give people a starting point… to investigate,” he said hours after Thompson’s death.
“Just to investigate, you know, send him a letter, ask him how his day is going, umm, you know, whatever.”
In an Instagram post last Monday, Harr also posted a graphic reading: “The CEO must die” and said it’s “time to take back our wealth, our communities, our power.”
‘The CEO is more than an individual, he is a figurehead of the capitalist order. It is a substitute for shareholders and… the vehicle through which capitalists enact their agenda on the workforce.
‘When we say the CEO must die, we mean that the structure of capitalism must be broken. Destroy your world to create a world for the worker. Made by us and for us. To serve us and our loved ones. Put our work in pursuit of a world that we decide.’
He reiterated that message to DailyMail.com.
‘The reality is that I appreciate that these conversations are taking place. “I know this is controversial, but recent events have made it clear to many that there is a small group of people who are profiting from the suffering of the poor and working class,” Harr said.
‘They know that when they decide to destroy safety protocols, workers will die, they know that denying coverage will kill people… they know this and yet they decide that profits are more important than our well-being, more important than our own lives.
‘I’m not suggesting physical violence against anyone, but I do think we should be informed about who makes those decisions and I would love to be a part of helping people understand that there is no left or right; There are those at the top and the rest of us at the bottom,” he continued.
‘I want people to know that the rich have created a world for themselves, in which they win. I want people to know that we can build a different world, where people win.
‘I want to make it clear that violence is not just a guy shooting someone in the street. Violence is all the decisions that the rich make and that sacrifice us on the altar of profit.’
Luigi Mangione, 26, faces second-degree murder charges in Thompson’s death
Meanwhile, Mangione, 26, faces second-degree murder charges in New York for the point-blank death of Thompson.
He is fighting extradition to the Big Apple and has hired Karen Friedman Agnifilo, a former assistant district attorney who helped prosecute the Harvey Weinstein case.
She is considered a veteran of the New York state court system, and a source told CNN that Friedman Agnifilo “knows every broker, every judge, every court clerk.”
“He has as much experience as any human being, especially in state courts.”
But New York officials hope to get Mangione back with what’s called a governor’s order.
It is an order signed by the governor of a state to which a fugitive flees after committing a crime. The governor of that state acts at the official request of the governor of the state where the crime occurred.
In this case, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is expected to request a gubernatorial order from Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, but the process could take more than a month.
