Australian swimming star Stephanie Rice has revealed the controversial travel trick she and her fiancé, Pastor Mark Lassey, use when traveling by plane.
The Olympic gold medalist, 36, shared a shocking clip on Instagram on Saturday in which she revealed the cheeky trick they use to make her flight more comfortable in economy seats.
Steph revealed that they always booked the aisle and window seats in a row and hoped that no one would take the middle seat between them.
‘Business Economic Class. “Mark loves the window, I love the hallway, so we always take a chance and hope no one chooses the middle to have extra space,” Steph told fans.
“If they do, most people will be happy to get out of the way.”
His travel trick has been used by travelers for years and is considered unethical because he tries to get the benefits of a flight seat without paying for it.

Steph revealed in the caption the reason for her flight this Christmas season: ‘A few days in Brisbane with the family before Christmas. Now back to Perth.
In October, Steph revealed that she is returning to her home country for a life-changing reason: getting married.
The Olympic gold medalist, who has lived in Dubai for a year, confirmed her engagement to her pastor fiancé in September.
She met Mark, who lives in Perth, shortly after moving to Dubai and he popped the question at The Atlantis Royal hotel in the city after seven months of dating.
However, Stephanie revealed that she will be returning to Australia to finish her master’s degree and marry Mark, who she has been in a long-distance relationship with until now.
Stephanie, who went public with her relationship with Mark in July, took to Instagram to share the exciting news while keeping her followers updated on the big changes in her life.

Steph shared in a caption: ‘I packed my stuff in Dubai, put it all away, packed 2 suitcases and headed to Australia to finish my Masters and get married… it’s so crazy to think about!!’
Stephanie, who recently converted to Christianity, expressed gratitude for the recent changes in her life and said God has had a significant impact on her path this year.
“God has done a 180 degree turn in my life this year and I am happier than ever,” she added.
Last month, Stephanie confirmed the joyous news of their engagement, just weeks after first going public with her and Mark’s romance in July.
