In the new trailer, a new group of recruits are seen, with a guard giving them a “sincere welcome”, before looking at a familiar face: the hero Gi-hun, who has returned as Player 456.
The trailer then shows one of the original challenges and Gi-hun taking control and attempting to guide the other competitors through the trials.
But problems soon arise when other players accuse him of working for the game’s master.

A synopsis for the second season revealed: “Gi-hun once again immerses himself in the mysterious game of survival, starting another game of life and death with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.”
Squid Game director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who made history at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards as the first Asian to win Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series, returns to the series as writer and director.
The first season of Squid Games earned 14 Emmy nominations and won six awards, including Best Drama Actor, Best Drama Guest Actress, Best Drama Direction, as well as awards for production design and visual effects.
