‘The ring features an incredible center marquise cut diamond, estimated to weigh around 8 carats, set on a yellow gold pave band.
“The marquise cut, with its elongated, pointed shape, is a striking choice, known for its shine and the way it elongates the finger, creating a striking and elegant look.”
The marquise cut dates back to the 18th century, when King Louis XV of France commissioned a diamond shape that resembled the smile of his lover, the Marquise de Pompadour.
Sge added: ‘The center diamond is likely to be of exceptional quality, with VVS1 clarity and a colorless grading in the DF range. I estimate the ring is worth more than £800,000 ($1 million), depending on the precise specifications of the diamond.
The couple enjoyed a very low-key engagement party celebration surrounded by their closest family and friends.
