Raiders' Charles Snowden arrested for DUI

Raiders defensive end Charles Snowden III has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

8 News in Las Vegas reports that officers booked Snowden at the Clark County Detention Center early Tuesday morning and was released.

Police stopped Snowden after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle and he was eventually charged with misdemeanor “DUI of alcohol and/or controlled or prohibited substances, first offense.”

Snowden, 26, was originally signed to the Raiders’ practice squad a year ago. This year he has played in all 13 games, starting seven, and has been on the field for 36 percent of the Raiders’ defensive snaps and 30 percent of the special teams snaps.

Last year, the Raiders released safety Roderic Teamer. the day after he was arrested for DUI. That was seen as a strong message given the Raiders’ history with drunk driving, which includes their former first-round pick, Henry Ruggs, who killed a woman while driving drunk in 2021 and was sentenced to between 3 and 10 years in prison. It is not yet known if the Raiders will release Snowden.
