Kathy Hilton has opened up about her four-decade marriage to Rick Hilton.
The 65-year-old socialite, mother of Paris Hilton, celebrated her 45th wedding anniversary with Rick on November 24.
chatting with Page six At her DIRECTV Christmas event in Kathy this week, she talked about what keeps her union happy and healthy.
“I think I just…respect,” the media personality said. ‘And honesty. And if you’re upset about something, you talk about it straight away.’
Sharing another gem, Kathy, who recently surprised Real Housewives fans, pointed out the importance of being mindful of who they spend time with socially.
“Keep the right influences, like the right partners,” he noted before emphasizing that “a little mystery” is helpful.

Ms. Hilton also advised that couples “never go to bed upset.”
The mother of four has been with her husband since she was 15 and he was 19.
They share Paris, 43, Nicky, 41, Barron, 35, and Conrad, 30.
In October, Nicky praised her parents for showing her an “incredible model” of a strong union.
Sharing with People what her mom taught her, she said: ‘I feel like some of the advice my mom has always given me is to never stop having fun, never go to bed angry and just stop and smell the roses and enjoy every moment. “
Kathy told the publication about her husband in September, “We haven’t been apart for two weeks” during their entire marriage.
“I don’t think you go to bed without saying ‘I love you’ and kissing each other and never fighting or anything like that.
“If he’s had a disagreement, he always makes it up before he goes to sleep and keeps it a little bit of a mystery and always keeps it exciting and fun.”

Kathy and Rick married when she was 20 and he was 24, after they met as teenagers.
Rick is the grandson of Conrad Hilton, who founded the Hilton Hotel.
He is president and co-founder of Hilton & Hyland, a Beverly Hills-based real estate brokerage firm specializing in homes and properties in Beverly Hills and other high-end regions.
Kathy is recognized for her appearances on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her philanthropic efforts with charities such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and for being the half-sister of RHOBH stars Kyle and Kim Richards.
