Is Luigi Mangione innocent? Attorney Thomas Dickey makes startling claims as he fights extradition from Pennsylvania to New York

Alleged CEO killer Luigi Mangione appeared to be looking for a familiar face during his arraignment, but he didn’t find one.

The 26-year-old Ivy League graduate repeatedly turned to look at the public gallery during his court appearance Monday in Pennsylvania, but none of his family members showed up.

Mangione also had no one in the courtroom Tuesday to support him in his second appearance in court.

Police said Mangione tried to check into the Horseshoe Curve Lodge in Altoona, but no rooms were available.

The motel’s clerk told ABC News that police showed up and checked the cameras before determining it was the suspect who had tried to check in.

Attorney Thomas Dickey confirmed that he was privately hired rather than employed by the state to represent accused Luigi Mangione, CEO of UnitedHealthCare.

Dickey runs his own law firm and is a lifelong resident of Blair County, Pennsylvania work biography.

After earning his law degree from Ohio Northern University, Dickey joined the Blair County Public Defenders Office and then began his private practice in 1984.

He has had a successful career as a lawyer with acquittals in cases ranging from drunk driving to first-degree murder and winning appeals to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Dickey is one of the few death penalty qualified attorneys in the area, and is known throughout the state for his strong representation in the courtroom, providing strong defense against all levels of criminal prosecution and active representation in civil lawsuits.

Mangione also had a spiral notebook in which he wrote a “to-do list” prior to the grizzly shooting. CNN reported.
