A cleaning company boss who raped a teenage employee on her first day at work after plying her with alcohol during an “office party” has been jailed.
The shocking details can be revealed after the man, who cannot legally be identified, was found guilty of raping the 18-year-old migrant employee.
The court heard the teenager did a three-hour trial shift on Friday at a cleaning company the man owned in inner Sydney.
She started work three days later, on Monday, and was called to the “party” that afternoon.
‘There are more drinks in the refrigerator. Let’s enjoy the night. “We’re not going to let anyone out until 10 p.m.,” the boss told the staff. news.com.au reported.
The court heard he asked the new employee several times why she didn’t drink.
The teenager told her boss that she didn’t drink often, that she only ate an apple for breakfast and that she weighed only 51 kg.
She was then encouraged to take shots of whiskey and tequila with the group.

The teenager later became ill and vomited from drinking alcohol, which was witnessed by the boss.
The court heard he then took the teenager back to his office, stripped her of her clothes and raped her.
The court heard the teenager’s older sister called her several times during the rape.
The man answered the phone and He hung up before continuing to rape the teenager.
“There was nothing to suggest that she could have given consent or been willing to give consent in circumstances where he was (significantly) older than her,” said New South Wales District Court Judge Michael King.
“She was a completely new employee and (was) in circumstances where she had only worked in the business for one day.”
Judge King pointed to the fact that since the chief saw his victim vomit, he would have known she was highly intoxicated.
“The defendant was aware that she was substantially impaired by alcohol and did not consent to sexual intercourse,” he said.
“In fact, she was left frozen and unable to move and was not aware of what was happening.”
The court also heard that while the man raped the teenager, he kept asking her if she had a boyfriend and if she liked him.
After the rape, the teenager managed to get by and walked to the nearest train station, where her sister eventually found her.
“His sister said he was crying, his hair was messy and he wasn’t wearing his clothes properly,” Judge King said.
The teenager called her boss and asked: ‘Why did you do this to me? I can’t work tomorrow. How do I get to work there? Have you already done this to me?’
But the man denied any wrongdoing and the teenager reported the rape to the police.
The head cleaner was charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent and one count of sexually touching another person without consent.
Judge King, speaking in court, said the man still did not understand his crime and continued to deny that his actions were not consensual.
The man was sentenced to five and a half years in prison.
He must serve two years and nine months before being eligible for parole in June 2027.
The Nepalese arrived in Australia in July 2019 so he could join his wife, who had already moved to Australia four months earlier.
He will probably be deported when he completes his sentence.
