After three weeks, thousands of jungle creatures and the confirmation of a thoroughly deserved winner: McFly star Danny Jones, the 24th series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! It’s finally over.
But as this year’s contestants get back on track, they can expect their luck to change considerably as a result of appearing on the long-running show.
And it is not surprising; Despite launching on ITV1 some 24 years ago, the show still has viewing figures impressive enough to turn even its lesser-known stars into household names overnight.
This year’s launch was watched by a maximum of eight million viewers, with an average of seven million, on par with last year’s series but below the nine million achieved in 2022, when the show emerged from the pandemic global and returned to Australia for the first time since 2019.
Those figures dwarf the 2.2 million earned during the 2024 launch of ITV2 reality TV giant Love Island, the show responsible for turning I’m A Celeb’s seventh-place contestant Maura Higgins into a star.
And it’s Maura who could benefit most from her appearance on the show, with brand and culture expert Nick Ede predicting an astronomical rise in profits over the next 12 months.
After three weeks, thousands of jungle creatures and the confirmation of a totally deserving winner, the 24th season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! it’s finally over
McFly star Danny Jones beat Coleen Rooney to be named King of the Jungle on Sunday night.
“I imagine Maura will be offered more TV presenting jobs and also modeling and brand sponsorship contracts,” she told MailOnline.
‘With her relationship with Pete Wicks confirmed as well, I think they could earn a lot together and even get their own reality show together too.
‘I can see Maura presenting on This Morning and also following in the footsteps of Olivia Attwood and Zara McDermott and getting her own documentary series and presenting roles too.
“He has accumulated four million followers on social media and this will allow him to earn a lot of money for publications and promotions.”
Ede also predicts greater earning potential for finalist Coleen Rooney, whose down-to-earth attitude endeared her to viewers of the hit show.
He said: “Coleen has really shown the UK who she is and it has been heartwarming to see what a great personality she has.”
‘She has already successfully had her own documentary on Disney+ and with her love of fashion and family I can see her being offered her own show or presenting jobs as well.
“With over a million followers, you can get a lot of money for promoting on your platform and with your honest and down-to-earth approach, you will be offered a lot in exchange for sponsorship.”
But it is former Love Island contestant Maura Higgins who will earn the most over the next year, with brand and culture expert Nick Ede predicting she could rake in £3million.

Semi-finalist Oti Mabuse has also added to her coffers, and Ede predicts renewed interest in her next show as a result of her appearances at the jungle camp.
‘Oti is on her way to becoming a national treasure and I can see her being offered many more presenting jobs.
“In 2025 she will go on tour with her show and, as a yummy mummy, I am sure that fashion brands will jump at the opportunity to create collections with her.”
Ede also believes influencer GK Barry will make significant profits, with the brand and culture expert expected to earn £2 million through social media fees, speaking and a potential book deal.
Despite winning Sunday night’s final, McFly star Danny Jones could also hope to increase his earnings by £1.5m over the next year, according to Ede.
“I imagine he will be offered advertising deals and personal appearance fees, as well as hosting jobs,” he said.
There’s also a potential payday for Tulisa Contostavlos, even though the N-Dubz singer left Australia under a cloud following her third-place elimination from the show.
“Tulisa was very well received and, as a way to relaunch her career, it has been a perfect platform,” said Ede.
“Something went wrong when she came out of the jungle and it was all a bit overwhelming for her, but she has a huge fan base and will be getting offers for a book, a TV documentary and more.”

Elsewhere, Ede believes former Communards star Reverend Richard Coles could well benefit from his unlikely friendship with TikTok influencer GK Barry.
‘He is a very successful writer and I can see this continuing and he will also be offered more documentaries as an author.
‘Her unusual relationship with GK makes them perfect for TV, so I imagine she’ll be offered Simple Life-style travel treatments with GK and an odd couple who could become TV gold.
“I can also see him doing a Q&A-style theater tour and releasing another book.”
While DJs like Melvin Odoom and Dean McCullough can expect to earn £250,000 and £100,000 respectively through presenting roles and TV appearances, Ede believes the first evicted campmate, Jane Moore, will struggle to boost her income.
“I don’t think she’ll get much work after the jungle – she’ll go back to her regular job on Loose Women,” he said.
Meanwhile, Professor Jonathan Shalit of Intertalent Group
“Women always make more money than men in fashion, and sponsorship is always much more lucrative,” she told MailOnline. ‘The number of followers and participation on social networks will be the fundamental factor in profits.
“This year’s big commercial winners will be Coleen, Maura, Oti, GK, Tulisa and Danny.”
