Weekend Sunrise host Matt Doran pulled off a funny joke during his last day on air on Sunday.
The breakfast presenter, 41, took on the role of roving reporter before signing off for the final time, exploring various areas of the studio as Mark Beretta and Monique Wright presented the show.
At one point, Matt manned the autocue station while his colleagues spoke directly into the camera.
‘Matt is here and to be honest we are a bit overwhelmed. This is a moment in history. How do you say goodbye to a living legend and an absolute master? Monique read aloud as another camera showed Matt typing furiously into the autocue machine.
He’s so handsome. Oh, I see, he’s writing this. He is clearly superior to me as a journalist. I can’t adequately communicate it in words.’
‘In fact, I feel compelled to dance. Come on, teacher!’ he said, before the studio erupted in laughter.

Doran ended his five years at Weekend Sunrise.
He made the emotional announcement live at the end of the show late last month.
The Seven star recently opened up about her struggle with depression on The Morning Show.
He said he will take the time to focus on family and pursue other opportunities.
“Before we leave today, some breaking news from the Doran household,” the host began.
‘I want to share with you a decision I made, with my beautiful wife Kendall – and of course in sincere consultation with our beloved Italian greyhound Murphy – and that is that, after five years at Weekend Sunrise, I will end at the end of the year,’ he said.
‘This is something I have agonized over because it is honest to say it is one of the best jobs in the world, but we believe it is right and at the right time – for our little family.
“Even though I’m sad and doing my best not to look Monique in the eye, where I am now is honestly a place of incredible gratitude for the laughter, the lessons, and the tears.

“I unwaveringly believe that this role – specifically, telling people’s most intimate and personal stories – is one of the most privileged positions on the planet.”
The breakfast show host broke down in tears as he spoke about his friendship with his closest colleague.
‘Mon, you’re not just a colleague, you’re my best friend and I’m going to miss you, any chance for a hug?’ said.
In September, when Matt appeared on Morning Sunrise to launch his latest book, Mental State, about Australia’s mental health system, he bravely spoke about his own struggle with depression.
—Do you think we’re getting better, doctor, by raising our hands like you did and saying, “I have an anxiety problem”? Matt asked Dr. Cross.
“I’ve also had huge problems with depression in recent years, but I think people are still afraid to come forward and say that.”
“It’s amazing that you say the more we talk about it, the better it is,” Dr. Cross said, praising Matt for speaking so openly about his depression on TV.
Matt has raised concerns in recent years after he mysteriously disappeared from work on two separate occasions.
Doran ended his five years at Weekend Sunrise. He made the emotional announcement live at the end of the show late last month.
In June, he was unable to make it to Seven studios to work on Weekend Sunrise.
He was replaced by reporter Chris Reason, who returned to present the breakfast show alongside Monique on Saturday 8 June.
A spokesperson for the network told Daily Mail Australia at the time that Matt was “on leave.”
A top Channel Seven star has been tipped to replace Doran, following his shock on-air resignation.
Seven’s US correspondent David Woiwod, who is based in Los Angeles, is likely to take on the co-host role alongside Monique Wright, according to news.com.au.
