The A-listers are doing well; In reality, less is more, especially when it comes to makeup.
A long list of big stars show us how you should use makeup when you’re over 50, in any case.
Pamela Anderson, 57, showed off her fresh complexion at a special screening of her new movie The Last Showgirl last month.
The Baywatch actress previously explained how she went natural in a bid to “stop chasing her youth” and received praise from fans for “aging gracefully.”
Adjoa Andoh, 61, who plays Lady Danbury in the Netflix hit Bridgerton, appears to have followed the same cosmetics book.
In an interview with Good cleaningrevealed that she is “utilitarian” in her approach to makeup.
“Everything I wear has to do with what makes me feel safe and confident in who I am,” she told the publication.
Speaking to Femail, makeup artist Leandra Kis explained why less is more in middle age.

Leandra currently offers personalized makeup experiences to clients at Beam in Belgravia, but has previously worked with Vogue and ELLE, as well as behind the scenes at London Fashion Week, Milan and Paris.
Here, she reveals how to match your makeup to your beautiful, aging skin.
FOCUS ON SKIN CARE LIKE PAMELA ANDERSON
Pamela Anderson has moved away from the heavy makeup she wore in her twenties and isn’t afraid to show her skin.

‘What is this cartoon character I had created? Well, that was fun. But I’m not that person anymore,” he said.
Speaking warmly of Pamela’s all-natural look, Leandra said: ‘Investing in good skincare is so much more important than makeup.

Pamela Anderson, 57, who recently acquired skincare brand Sonsie, says she feels “sensual” when she shows off her bare skin.
The Baywatch star, who recently acquired skincare brand Sonsie, said Seduce that it feels “much more sensual in my own skin.”

PULL OUT YOUR EYES LIKE ADJOA ANDOH
Adjoa Andoh, 61, plays the fiery Lady Danbury in Netflix’s Bridgerton.
The British actress also starred in this year’s Boots Christmas advert, with plenty of fans commenting on how radiant she looked.
Analyzing her on-screen makeup, Leandra noticed that Adjoa used eyeshadow to highlight her eyes, a feature that typically diminishes as you age.
“Adjoa has used a champagne shimmer product on the inside corners which seems to enhance and brighten the eye,” Leandra said.
‘Along the eyelids, a more neutral brown eyeshadow is used.
“She’s enhancing her eyes by placing a dark eyeliner pencil close to her lash line, which makes the lashes fuller, and she’s made sure to use less shadow on her lids so they don’t crease.”

But what is Adjoa’s off-screen secret to looking radiant without makeup? Drink water, sleep well and hydrate.
Adjoa told Good Housekeeping: “My kids would laugh at me if I tried to give them any beauty advice, but I tell them to drink more water, sleep more and moisturize their skin.”
‘I say, “Moisturize your skin or get out of my house!”‘
SHOW YOUR WRINKLES LIKE MERYL STREEP
From playing an icy fashion editor to the Iron Lady, Meryl Streep, 75, has taken on several demanding roles throughout her career and would be forgiven for having a wrinkle or two.
Leandra told Femail that celebrities showing off their wrinkles and gray hair on red carpets has become a bold and liberating trend in recent years.
The London-based makeup artist said: “Think of all the older celebrities sporting gray hair (Andi McDowell) and letting their wrinkles show (Meryl Streep).
“They don’t feel like they need to hide under a lot of makeup and they always look flawless.”
Taking a closer look at her minimal makeup, Leandra said: “The creamy, peachy tones look great on Meryl and her makeup artist would have used these cool tones to give her a youthful look.”

“Minimal makeup, at least in terms of foundation, is the best option for anyone who wants to look younger.”
