Max Verstappen and his girlfriend Kelly Piquet have announced that they are expecting their first child.
The Formula One star and his model partner took to social media to confirm the news with their followers as they shared a heartfelt message on Friday morning.
In a joint post on their Instagram accounts, the couple, with their faces out of shot, posed with their hands on Piquet’s stomach.
The caption read: ‘Mini Verstappen-Piquet on the way. We couldn’t be happier with our little miracle.’
It’s another happy occasion for Red Bull driver Verstappen, who won his fourth Formula One title last month after finishing ahead of Lando Norris at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Meanwhile, Piquet, daughter of former Formula One driver Nelson Piquet, has a high profile within the sport and online, currently boasting 1.5 million followers on Instagram.

Piquet has been regularly seen in the paddock supporting her partner and was seen sharing a victory kiss following Verstappen’s victory at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last year.
In June, The Brazilian model was forced to issue a response on Instagram to unpleasant rumors and accusations made against her.
He claimed that “over the past three years she has been navigating a strange and disturbing wave of accusations”, some of which relate to her previous relationships, and that the 35-year-old had dated Russian Formula One driver Daniil Kvyat .
The 35-year-old began dating Kvyat in 2017 and the couple had a daughter, Penelope, in 2019. The couple would split later that year, with Piquet dating Verstappen.
Piquet addressed the allegations made against her on Instagram in an emotional statement asking social media users to think twice before posting rumors online.
“A note from me and a kind reminder to everyone…” Piquet began. ‘The online world can be a wonderful place for a number of reasons, but very scary when misinformation and lies are spread.
‘I’m not sure what the right approach is to address hate that arises from falsehoods. I’ve considered drafting a response and leaving it at that.
