A beautiful lighthouse in San Francisco Bay is offering a couple about $140,000 to move into a small bed and breakfast as an innkeeper.
The East Brother Light Station is looking for a couple to take over the innkeeping duties of the five-star B&B and operate a ferry to take visitors to the island.
The position does require that at least one member of the couple have a valid U.S. Coast Guard boater’s license to operate the ferry, the spokesperson said. website.
“They will operate the five-room inn, serving dinner and breakfast, as well as ferry service for guests and all other duties from chef to maid,” the report said.
The couple would receive a health care plan and housing on the island as part of a pay package that has averaged about $140,000 over the past two years and is “on an upward trend.”
The only catch? There is no internet.
There is also no landline telephone and no water pressure on the island Fox 8.
Innkeepers are also not allowed to own pets and are not allowed to smoke SFGate.

The outgoing managers have been caring for the inn and lighthouse for two years.
Located on a seven-acre island near the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, the lighthouse has been an active lighthouse since 1873 and was restored and converted into a cozy inn in 1979 to raise funds for the lighthouse’s activities.
