Roy Keane criticized Marcus Rashford on Wednesday night when he said the Manchester United striker’s “overall game as a footballer is shocking”.
United lost 2-0 to Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday thanks to second-half goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba.
Rashford started the match on the bench before coming into action as a substitute in the 58th minute. The 26-year-old touched the ball 22 times during his cameo, but failed to make any key shots or passes.
Former United captain Keane watched the game alongside Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Ian Wright. The quartet was hosting a YouTube viewing of The Overlap, hosted by Heaven’s bet.
Naturally, Neville and Keane were hoping for a United victory, with Arsenal legend Ian Wright cheering on his former team.
Meanwhile, Liverpool icon Carragher forced fans to think twice by wearing a retro United shirt because he wanted Arsenal to drop points in the title race.

Roy Keane was unimpressed with Rashford, saying “his overall game as a footballer is shocking.”
Keane was speaking at The Overlap observation, which also featured Gary Neville (left) and Jamie Carragher (right), who was wearing a retro Man United shirt.
During the second half, Keane fumed: “I’ll tell you what, Rashford has come on, his overall game as a footballer is shocking.” Look at his headbutt there.
In reaction to Keane’s comment, Carragher appeared to mutter ‘MailOnline’, apparently to suggest that this publication would probably be interested in what had just been said.
United then kicked the ball out of play and Keane exploded: ‘You know what that is, rubbish! That’s bloody rubbish… it knocks him out of the game.’
Rashford had also unnecessarily given away the corner that led to Arsenal’s second goal and Neville later criticized United for conceding a simple set-piece.
“That can’t happen,” Neville said. ‘It’s a curvy corner. You scratch your head, you’re there as a coach and you spend hours going through these corners.’
On the overall result, Keane concluded: “United deserve it.” A shot on target.
In fact, United finished the game with two shots on goal, four less than the Gunners.
Arsenal’s victory allowed them to close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool, who dropped two points in a dramatic 3-3 draw at Newcastle after a 90th-minute equalizer from Fabian Schar.

The Gunners are now just seven points behind Liverpool.
But Mikel Arteta’s men remain third in the table after Chelsea won 5-1 at Southampton to move away from their London rivals on goal difference.
United’s defeat, combined with Newcastle getting a point, caused Rubén Amorim’s team to fall to the bottom half.
