Fox News contributor Dr. Kelly Powers tragically died on Sunday after a years-long battle with brain cancer.
According to her GoFundMe, Powers, 45, was diagnosed in 2020 with Giloblastoma, one of the deadliest forms of brain cancer.
She underwent three surgeries, chemotherapy and immunotherapy and was able to go into remission a year later.
In 2021, after battling the disease and a fertility battle, she and her husband Steve welcomed their son Bennett via surrogate.
However, this year the cancer tragically returned and she raised money for an innovative treatment only available in Germany.
The mother of one was born in Yonkers, New York and attended Baruch College, according to her obituary.
She continued her medical training at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, followed by a Master of Science degree from the University of San Francisco.
She then attended Georgetown and Boston universities for her residency programs. Then Powers and her husband Steve married and started their family in Colts Neck, New Jersey.
Powers was an accomplished physician and surgeon who was a regular contributor to Fox News. She appeared on programs such as Red Eye and in segments on Fox Business.

“She was a brave and beautiful soul who could make friends wherever she went. Kelly had a love for people and she was dedicated to helping others,” her obituary said.
‘She had many hobbies including gardening, surfing, ballet, cycling, running, horse riding, traveling and many more activities.’
Before her cancer diagnosis, the beloved doctor had several other health problems, including heart problems.
Powers told Preferred Health Magazine she suffered heart failure on live television during a heart health segment in 2018.
‘It’s crazy – I went into heart failure while reporting on Fox Business – live – about heart health and talking about the subtle signs women often miss. You can’t make this up, she said.
‘I was actually accidentally diagnosed with a heart condition when my gallbladder failed and I had to have it removed. That led to my heart being examined and… I couldn’t believe it – here I was in my late 30s experiencing a health condition that would be diagnosed in a much older person.”
In July 2020, she suffered a dangerous seizure that sent her to the hospital where doctors diagnosed her brain tumor.
After receiving the stunning news, doctors surprised her once again when they operated on her.

‘So the brain surgeon brings me in for surgery – he suddenly stops and says, ‘Hey, I just wanted to let you know before I have your subject that you’re pregnant – the surrogate mother took you and you have a baby boy on your chest . way!’ All I could honestly think was, ‘What the hell is going on,'” Powers said.
